Tom Sandquist has been fixture in the live music community for over 35 years. He is a consummate professional with a diverse musical background. Tom holds a BFA in Jazz Piano from Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee, performed and scored arrangements for Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Beloit College Orchestra and Denver Symphony Orchestra. 

 

In Colorado, Tom has performed with Sheryl Renee, Hazel Miller, Dotsero, Ron Ivory, Lannie Garrett, Vic Cionetti, Julius Williams and others, and has been contracted to play in back up bands for such acts as The Letterman, The Drifters, The Coasters, Bobby Vinton, Chicago, Uncle Vinty, Marcia Cunningham and others. He feels fortunate to have performed at the following venues: Red Rocks, Dillon Amphitheater, City Park Jazz Festival, Estes Park Jazz Festival, Milwaukee Performing Arts Center, Jazz @ Jacks, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, New Dawn Church and Mile Hi Church. Tom has been Musical Director for Denver East High Schools big year end "Pops show", for the past 5 years. He really loves working with all the young talent.

 

Piano is Tom's primary instrument, as well as synthesizers including Korg and Yamaha, and Hammond Organ in a variety of genres. Tom has been Musical director for the musical theater productions Music of Freedom: A Homage to the Gershwins, and he was "Tommy Sands" the band leader, in the Jazz legend impersonation show "Live at The Rossonian".  Tom can be heard playing support underscoring, on various meditations and prayer CD's.
